Eagle Vision is involved as industrial partner in the European High Profile project (www.highprofile-project.eu , 2011-2013). The aim of this project (which has a medical background) is to develop multi-scale, adaptive algorithms which gather and process information on the actual behavior of the brain, based on imaging data from (f) MRI, MRS, and EEG. Our contribution to the project is to share our experience we have in cost-effective real-time industrial image processing systems like the Basic Scout or EagleEye. In our systems we already use commercially available standard multi-core processors and develop the associated software methods. In other industries often dedicated hardware and software are used for real-time performance.

The reason for us is to participate is that we can apply advanced technology developed by others for medical applications in the industrial and/or people logistics domain.

Enclosed is an article in which Eagle Vision describes the characteristics of image processing chain modelling for industrial applications. The article shows that our vision knowledge and industrial experience also may be useful for other developers. And it might also be relevant for your background knowledge.
